Join/Renew ASPA

Welcome to Alameda Swimming Pool Association (ASPA), and thank you for your interest in membership.

The ASPA is a nonprofit organization. Maintenance of the premises, teaching and lifeguarding are provided by voluntary efforts of the members. Instructional programs, cleaning and maintenance have priority over use of the pools. Membership swimming depends not only on the availability of the pools but also on the ability to secure lifeguards. Occasionally, availability may be interfered with due to assignment of the pools for use by other organized groups or needed repairs.

Membership: Members must be residents of Alameda. Membership entitles all household members residing at the address listed below to use the pool facilities as explained in the Member Guide. Membership cannot be shared or split between two or more households.

The ASPA Membership cost is $560 and runs from April 1 to March 31 each year.  Membership cost includes access to both pools during open swim times and the option to become a keyholder (requires American Red Cross shallow water lifeguard certification), which provides off hours access to the pools during normal pool hours, 6 A.M. to 10 P.M. All adult members are responsible for at least 2 volunteer shifts per year and may be charged $100 per shift for no-shows.

NOTE: The membership cost is the same, whether your household is a keyholder or non-keyholder/base membership. All households are required to have an account in Captyn -- if you don't create a Captyn account, one will be created for you.
